Obituary

Joan was a devoted and loving wife to George for more than 63 years, and the cherished heart of a family who adored her — mother to four, grandmother to nine, and great-grandmother to three.

Gentle, kind, and endlessly caring, she lived her life with a quiet strength and a faith that guided everything she did.

Her warmth, her comforting hugs, and the steady love she offered so freely will remain with us always. She touched our lives in ways words cannot capture, and we will miss her beyond measure.

Survived By

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 63 years, George; her children Douglas (Leanne), Lynn, and Jacqueline (Chris). She was a cherished grandmother to Derryck, Dustyn, Kathleen, Brian, Tommy, Olivia, Lily, Holly, and Rowan, and a loving great-grandmother to Alyssa, Dylan, and Quin. She is predeceased by her son Stuart.

Celebration of Life: Date: Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 Time: 12noon until 2pm Location: Richmond Presbyterian Church Address: 7111 No. 2 Rd, Richmond We celebrate the life of Joan Tweedlie with colour. Bright clothes or a special hat are welcome. Black attire is optional.
