In Loving Memory
On January 14, 2026, God called home our beloved mother, Lourdes Cabael, who lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at Crossroads Hospice in Coquitlam, British Columbia, after a courageous nine-month battle with brain cancer.
Early Life and Family
Lourdes was born on February 11, 1942, in Calbayog, Philippines, to Francisco and Juliana Roma. She was the youngest of twelve children, and is survived by her sister, Luz Roma.
Marriage and Family
Lourdes was married to her beloved husband, Rodolfo Cabael, for 54 years until he entered into eternal rest. Together, they raised four daughters: Felian, Lounacitas (spouse Franky), Lorelei (spouse Joelorie), and Rouella (spouse Erich).
She was a devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren—Felicia, Athena, Francesco, Genevieve, Kaizen, Jaxen, Sophia, and Maddox—who lovingly surrounded her daily until her final moments.
Legacy and Community
Lourdes leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and leadership within the Filipino Christian community. Her life was a testament to devotion, compassion, and unwavering love for family and God.
Gratitude
The Cabael family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all caregivers and relatives who lovingly supported Lourdes during her final months.
